As much as we love Sofia Vergara on ABC’s “Modern Family,” we’ve never really thought much of her personal style. But apparently Kmart has, enough to give her a line with the retail chain. Vergara’s love of clingy, bodycon, cleavage exposing dresses is well documented on red carpets, and there’s no shortage of that in her collection.

Icelandic singer-songwriter, Björk, is getting technologically creative her latest collaboration and next musical release. She may be best known for her new wave electronic sound in hits like “Army of Me” and “Hyperballad”, but Björk has showed her range of talent by producing and composing music as well as acting in a few films. She’s won four MTV Music Video Awards, and has been nominated for 13 Grammys and even an Oscar. It may be safe to say the dead swan she wore as a dress in 2001 killed her chances of winning that Oscar, but I guess we’ll never really know.

Between Eddie Borgo, Helen Yarmak, Bottega Veneta and Delfina Delletrez, and countless others, trust us when we say there’s certainly an insect jewelry vibe in the air. Which is perfect timing for Mandy Coon‘s new bug heavy jewelry line with Meredith Kahn of Made Her Think. Coon launched her first RTW collection in Spring 2010 and lured us into her dark, gothic world of geometric design. It was Coon’s love of vintage jewelry that caused her to stumble across an old bug brooch, which quickly became the inspiration to a truly unique collection for Fall 2011.

The collection is comprised of four pieces: a necklace, a bug ring, a small brooch and a large brooch. The pieces are Rhodium based, and some are wrapped in her signature leather and studded with Swarovski crystals. The collection captures both the gothic qualities of Coon as well as the Edwardian darkness that resonates in Made Her Think. Who would of thought bugs could be so enticing? But that still doesn’t mean we’re looking forward to mosquito season. All will be available through Meredith Kahn’s Made Her Think line.
Former Ralph Lauren ready to wear designer Lyn Devon launched her very own collection in New York back in 2005. The American designer has had tremendous feedback for her sportswear collections with style.com praising her as “one of America’s most promising new talents,” as well as receiving the “Rising Star Award” from Fashion Group International. Now Devon is collaborating with one of New York’s swankiest hotels, The W.

Stylist to the stars (but really, who isn’t these days?) Leslie Fremar has a new project in store with none other than Fruit of the Loom. Though Fremar’s name might not be on the tip of your tongues, the names on her star-studded roster surely are. She counts Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Connelly, and Charlize Theron among her devoted clients. Fruit of the Loom must have made quite the offer to lure her away for this project.

When we wrote a while back about Nine West’s collaboration with Sophie Theallet, we just had to pop by the brand’s presentation to see the styles in person. In between canapés, we were pleased to learn about Nine West’s next collaborator. This time around, there won’t be a designer helming the project but it will be none other than model/musician Karen Elson.

While the “It” bag is supposedly a dead trend, we can give tangible evidence to the contrary as we constantly spot girls and boys alike carrying the latest Alexander Wang satchel, Celine tote or PS1 (if you don’t know you’d better ask somebody). Joan Goodman, as in PONO by Joan Goodman is working with M. Clifford and Fall ’11 marks their second season collaborating. Their work fits right in with the fashion set’s newest obsession; the Pouchette.

The wundertwins are back to pushing the boundaries of kitsch and cool with their latest offering; the cigarette ring. This unique two finger ring is forged out of rhodium and ends in an emerald cut ruby, resembling a cigarettes burning ember tip. Let’s be real. Images of smoking are still found everywhere and probably won’t go out of fashion no matter how many ‘Truth’ commercials MTV airs. To avoid flack, they can always claim the ring is simply an homage to Mondrian. Because that never gets old.
