Exclusive: Leslie Fremar x Fruit of the Loom

Stylist to the stars (but really, who isn’t these days?) Leslie Fremar has a new project in store with none other than Fruit of the Loom. Though Fremar’s name might not be on the tip of your tongues, the names on her star-studded roster surely are. She counts Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Connelly, and Charlize Theron among her devoted clients. Fruit of the Loom must have made quite the offer to lure her away for this project.

Updated: Vena Cava x Bloomingdale’s

Vena Cava is partnering with Bloomingdale’s on a limited-edition collection. Aqua, Bloomingdale’s own ready-to-wear line, is trying on a new aesthetic by taking Vena Cava’s vintage-inspired look and appealing it to the trendy, young and frugal Bloomingdale’s customer. The line features luxurious fabrics such as silk and velvet in sophisticated muted tones along with Vena Cava staples like flirty skirts, geometric print dresses, and chiffon tops.

It’s about time Bloomies took on some new designer talent (Vena Cava were twice nominated for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award) to inject their store with a bit of fresh energy. Considering both partners in this collab are aiming for the same market, we can’t see a better match. The collection is priced at an accessible $98-$198; perfect for New York girls desperate for that Kirsten Dunst and Natalie Portman look who simply cannot bear one more season of fighting off aggressive shoppers at the infamous Barney’s New York Warehouse Sale.

Keds x The Whitney Museum of American Art

The fashion and art worlds continue to collide as the Whitney Museum partners with Keds to sponsor the Whitney Museum of American Art’s summer session. In order to commemorate the project, they’ve enlisted Jenny Holzer to design the KedsWhitney collection.

Holzer, an American artist best known for creating light installations that feature thought-provoking messages, has chosen to stamp Keds’ classic black and white sneakers with the phrase “Protect Me From What I Want.” It’s a phrase Holzer has returned to repeatedly in her work, emblazing it on everything from T-shirts to condoms. The collection will be available July 8th at Bloomingdales nationwide. We’ll be recommending it to all of our friends who constantly complain that their Vans just aren’t conceptual enough.
