Versace x The Milano Residence

Now that we’re slowly but surely heading out of the recession, it’s time once again for some of our favorite brands to get back to expanding. From China to Dubai, designers like Giorgio Armani have been expanding their aesthetics to include furnishing, and Donatella Versace is not far behind with the Versace-branded condo in the Philippines. The $68 million Milano Residence, located in Manila, is Versace Home’s first foray into residential design in Asia, and if you can afford the exorbitant price tag, your ottoman can co-mingle with gold gilded Versace furnishings in the lobby and pool. Fran Drescher approved.

The Asian market for luxury has grown exponentially but it remains to be seen if Versace is going to be able to make a splash in the residential sector. The project is expected to be completed in 2015, giving Versace a space in the Philippines legendary, Century City. Versace will also be consulting with the Milano Residence, offering design suggestions for the 340 units, so expect luxurious, yet hopefully tasteful, uses of Versace signature teal, glitzy gold and Greek keys. Naturally, we’re expecting some very chic doorman in Versace and a BryanBoy sighting.
