Alexis Mabille x Christophe de Quenetain

French designer Alexis Mabille has developed a pretty sensational following. In the past few years, the spirited couturier has moved into ready-to-wear and menswear, and is now collaborating with art historian and antiques dealer, Christophe de Quenetain for the Biennale des Antiquaires.

Mabille never shies away from grand embellishments and his signature bow, so we’re sure Mabille’s upholsteries won’t feel the least bit out of place in Paris’ Grand Palais. In fact, for those of you who think Mabille’s overtly feminine touches are just a bit too dainty to be wearable, we think the designer may have found his calling in refurbishing 18th century neoclassical chairs. After all, nothing is too gauche for Versailles.
