FIRST LOOK: Lanvin & H&M

Have everyone’s dreams collectively come true? Lanvin is next up in H&M’s designer series, which has already featured work from the likes of Comme des Garcons, Jimmy Choo, and Sonia Rykiel. But Alber Elbaz may be the fast fashion retailer’s biggest get yet, considering the way women swoon over Lanvin’s intricate draping and voluminous shapes.

Lanvin has collaborated before, working with Acne on a denim collection that unfortunately did not live up to all its press. We’re not surprised that Elbaz has chosen H&M for his next project, especially since he’s been open about his desire to do a collection for a wider market. Menswear and womenswear are on the agenda, with Lucas Ossendrijver introducing some feminine menswear for the masses. We can’t wait to see what the union offers up, other than the expected mile-long lines and subsequent eBay auctions. Launching November 20th in the US and the 23rd for the rest of the world over 200 H&M stores. 3 weeks before the collections hit the stores, the most anticipated collaboration will have a film hit the net at
