Vena Cava is partnering with Bloomingdale’s on a limited-edition collection. Aqua, Bloomingdale’s own ready-to-wear line, is trying on a new aesthetic by taking Vena Cava’s vintage-inspired look and appealing it to the trendy, young and frugal Bloomingdale’s customer. The line features luxurious fabrics such as silk and velvet in sophisticated muted tones along with Vena Cava staples like flirty skirts, geometric print dresses, and chiffon tops.

It’s about time Bloomies took on some new designer talent (Vena Cava were twice nominated for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award) to inject their store with a bit of fresh energy. Considering both partners in this collab are aiming for the same market, we can’t see a better match. The collection is priced at an accessible $98-$198; perfect for New York girls desperate for that Kirsten Dunst and Natalie Portman look who simply cannot bear one more season of fighting off aggressive shoppers at the infamous Barney’s New York Warehouse Sale.
