Franz Ferdinand x Pringle of Scotland

It may feel like ages since we’ve seen Scottish rock group Franz Ferdinand hit the stage but our fondness for the quartet hasn’t waned in the slightest. That’s why we’re excited to see them fall back into the fray with a new single and a collaboration with Pringle of Scotland. Pringle’s been able to consistently entice some of the UK’s greatest acts (they count The Kooks and Dirty Pretty Things as fans) and their cache of enviable talent includes the charming Tilda Swinton with a campaign shot by Ryan McGinley.

Alex Kapranos and Nick McCarthy have contributed to the brand by designing a wool jumper for Pringle’s SS 2011 collection and performed at their presentation. The musicians were given carte blanche, [they] “thought of golf and everything I hated as an adolescent and wanted to rebel against” – Dazed Digital. Rebellion isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of Pringle, but there’s nothing to stop you from infusing a little of that angst into Argyle patterns and classic twinsets.

Video of the performance, etc…

  4. I loved this song and how intimate the performance seemed. They left the high gloss out. A success!
