Thom Browne x Baccarat

Thom Browne may have built his reputation on shrunken jackets and exposed ankles, but the quirky menswear designer has turned his unique vision onto crystal stemware. Baccarat, the French glassware brand commissioned by international royalty since the 18th century, has teamed up with Browne for a special four piece collection. The collaboration comes on the heels of Browne’s announcement that he will be moving his menswear presentation from New York to Paris.

Though Browne is no stranger to collaboration (Brooks Brothers, Moncler), this marks the designer’s first foray outside the world of apparel. He insists it’s been on his mind for a while. “When I travel I always look for vintage Champagne couples. It’s similar to how my [signature] suit came about. I decided to produce it instead of looking for it in an antique store,” Browne told WWD. Each signature glass in the set has a unique four band detail, and at a list price of around $4400 US, it may be the perfect gift for the modern day Louis XV in your life.
